Yes, 12th pass candidates can apply for the RRB ALP exam if they have ITI, Diploma, B.E or B.Tech degree. Basically, the educational qualification for rrb alp exam is 10th pass with ITI degree.

Educational qualification for RRB ALP exam 2024:-

  • 10th pass with ITI degree in the trade of electrician, instrument mechanic, millwright, maintenance mechanic, mechanic radio and TV, electronics mechanic, mechanic motor vehicle, wireman, tractor mechanic, armature and coil winder, mechanic diesel, heat engine, Turner, machinist, refrigeration and Air conditioning mechanic.
  • 10th or matriculation pass with an act apprenticeship course.
  • Matriculation or 10th pass with a 3 years diploma or engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, automobile or electronics engineering.

Is a B.Tech student eligible for RRB ALP posts?

Yes, B.Tech students are eligible for RRB ALP posts, if they have completed their engineering degree in electrical, mechanical, electronics or automobile engineering trades. 

But final year diploma, B.E or b.tech candidates who have not got their final year results, are not eligible for RRB ALP post.

Can 12th pass students be eligible for RRB ALP with physics, chemistry or maths trade?

No, without ITI, diploma or engineering degree 12th pass candidates are not eligible for RRB ALP post, although they have passed 12th in physics, chemistry or maths trade.

Can 10th pass ITI candidates apply for RRB assistant loco pilot jobs?

Yes, 10th pass ITI candidates apply for RRB assistant loco pilot job because the minimum criteria for RRB assistant loco pilot job is class 10th and ITI degree course pass.

Is an electronic engineer eligible for the RRB ALP?

Can a mechatronics engineering candidate apply for the RRB ALP exam?

Yes, mechatronics engineers can apply for RRB ALP exam as mechatronics engineering is a combined stream of mechanical and electronic systems, so they are eligible for RRB ALP posts.

Can a candidate apply for RRB ALP without ITI?

If the candidate is only 10th class pass, then he can not apply for RRB ALP without ITI. 12th pass candidates can apply for RRB ALP posts without ITI, if they have diploma or engineering degree.
